With the goal to valorize and promote social creativity, – technological and cultural -, we are putting forward the proposal to turn the Europe Pavillion, at the heart of Cartuja 93 technological park, into a civic medialab. Presenting the project at the Bienal Internacional de Arte Contemporámneo de Sevilla, focused in its third edition on digital art and architecture, we want to generate a discussion on the possible uses of this underused space, and on the contemporary situation of creative workers in relation to technologies, innovation and the creative industries, - a disussion that could inlude the actual policies of the Bienal itself. Átomos y Bits. Digital Artists and Architects Association of Andalucía Hackitectura.net has taken the initiave to promote the constitution of a new Andalussian association to deal with IC technologies, art, architecture, territory and society. We have drafted the association statutes and have began sending the proposal to compañeros in the region. The main goal is to constitute a social agent to act in cultural, technological and political realms in order to promote free software and free culture, and particularly, to promote the development of spaces and infrastructures for the digital commons, with the reference of civic medialabs such as Medialab Prado in Madrid or Hangar in Barcelona. *** http://htca.us.es/blogs/atomosbits
